Wren's Nest

Friday 22nd March 2002, West Yorkshire

wrenwren's nest It's warm enough again to enjoy breakfast outside.

The wren takes more nesting material into the ivy on the shed. It's a beautifully camouflaged construction of dry grasses and moss set between the thick stems of the ivy.

The entrance hole is just about the size of my thumb.

It's even warmer at lunch time. A butterfly flies over but as it's silhouetted against the sun, I'm unable to identify it. next page
