sparrows bird bathWhen the pond gets overgrown and the pebbly corner the sparrows like to use becomes inaccessible, this bird bath on the patio gets a lot of use. Thrushes, goldfinches, wood pigeon and starling are amongst the birds we've seen sipping the water or taking a bath. Recent rains have topped it up.

bathingThe wood pigeon can take a drink without lifting its head to let the water trickle down its throat and I noticed that the wasp I saw drinking here could do the same. Next Page
