valleyHathersage With just the afternoon free, Barbara and I set off and have lunch - olives, pitta and houmous - at Coleman's Deli in Hathersage, where I drew the cottages (right) across the road as we sat at an outside table under the welcome shade of a parasol.

Taking the back road yesterday afternoon, I'd spotted this hidden valley (left) behind the town.We head up for the top end and take a short walk around, stopping to draw the view across the valley.

No wonder they come here to make movies.

There's another wooded valley hidden away between Hathersage and Bamford which I'd like to explore while the bluebells and wood anemones are still in flower. Next Page
