A Break in the Lakes

A TUNA has to keep swimming or it soon starts to run out of oxygen. We’re on the move today too, but we’ll be coming up for air tomorrow as we’re taking a short break in the Lake District .

My one pause in the day’s preparations and errands is in the dentist’s waiting room where, as usual, my subject is a goldfish. As with the sumach the other day, I don’t do any initial drawing; using my Pentel Aquash waterbrush, I paint the lightest wash first, adding the darker background and other details next.
