female blackbird in yew yew
IN THE PARK on Montmatre, 20 Blackbirds are feeding on the wax-red berries of Yew. A bench is peppered with their red-stained droppings.

Sacre Coeurstarling
The white dome of Sacre Coeur is dazzling in the morning sun against a cloudless blue sky. A Starling sings as if spring is here already.
