bullfinch
A BULLFINCH perches on the Honeysuckle by the patio windows and picks off two or three berries. The berries are well past their best, shrivelled after the frost. Perhaps it is the seeds that the finch is eating.

sunsetmoon There's a plum-coloured sunset as a yellow moon rises opposite. As the sun fades the haze around the moon takes on a green cast.

A Tawny Owl silhouetted against the sky calls, 'Kiwick! Kiwick!', from the top of a Sycamore.
