seed hopperThe problem we've had with this seed hopper type ground feeder is that not only does it look like a rain gauge; it acts like one too. Today I drill three holes in the tray and refill it. Not surprisingly, a little of the seed trickles out but so too, I hope, will the rain.

The birds appreciate our efforts in sprucing up the feeders and soon the local sparrows are back. The pheasant strolls across the lawn but so far he hasn't checked out the new improved ground feeder.
