Mundersley3.30 p.m., the Beach Café, Mundersley

gullI walk from Bacton to Mundersley along the beach below the gas terminal. Herring gulls - including a lot of juveniles - stand by the sea and peck at found objects; brown sand martins swoop around nest holes made in a sandy patch high on the cliff; a kestrel hovers over a scrubby cliff slope and jackdaws cajole each other as they fly over the cliff top as I get near Mundersley.
